Where does Ramtha come from?

Ramtha has been commonly referred to in the media as a 35,000 year-old warrior from the lost continent of Atlantis. Some have referred to him as a Neanderthal or Cro-Magnon man due to the time period. This is not entirely the case. In Ramtha's cosmology, he very boldly states that mankind has been in existence a lot longer than the current conventional view held by science and that in fact mankind is millions of years old and that very advanced civilizations coexisted with lesser ones. Without entering into the debate about lost civilizations or anthropological findings, it is important to note that the conventional view is increasingly being challenged. Of late it has been discovered that mankind used tools as early as two million years BC. The important element that is usually omitted from reports on Ramtha is that he is an individual who attained enlightenment not unlike Gautama Buddha.
